Our aim is to share our outstanding specialist knowledge and skills to improve outcomes for children with complex needs. As an Outstanding school, we aim to develop and share effective practices locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. We invest in proactive learning and development to enhance staff expertise for continuous improvement of staff practice for the benefit of the Foundation and its communities. Training costs are seen as long-term investments in our Foundation's sustainability and success. We focus on enhancing our workforce collectively and individually through developmental training to maintain our 'Outstanding' status.
Our Learning and Development department collaborates with experienced staff to offer workforce development opportunities internally and externally. We engage in pioneering research in SEMH, delivering training and upskilling sessions to various stakeholders. Our trainers are active practitioners, offering courses externally and supporting schools through audits and quality assurance. We actively engage in various educational networks and conferences, sharing resources and expertise. Our commitment includes positive behaviour support training such as Talking Strategies and Team Teach, focusing on communication and conflict resolution techniques. We also offer behaviour audits and personalised support packages to schools to address their specific needs regarding SEND.
For more information on the types of training we offer and dates of pre-arranged training, you can find our External Training Programme here.
